Keokuk County State Bank is a locally owned, independent bank.
In 2004 KCSB celebrated 120 plus years of being a community
partner in Sigourney, in Keokuk County and in the state of
Iowa .
KCSB was founded
in 1884 has held the charter continuously since that time.
From 1954 until 1999 KCSB was owned by the families of the
late Robert (Rob) and Sally Marget and Helen and the late
George Marget, Jr. Rob and George Marget and their brother
John (Jack) had purchased the bank from Harry and Bert Helscher
who owned the bank. In 1999 the bank was acquired by Fountain
View Bancorp, Inc. of Sigourney, a bank holding company founded
by a group of local investors who wanted to assure the bank
would remain locally owned. KCSB was recently honored by the
Iowa Department of Economic Development and the Iowa Association
of Business and Industry as a "Century Business", a business
owned and operated in the state of Iowa for more than 100
years.
KCSB is located at 201 South Jefferson , on the southeast corner of the Square, in Sigourney. The bank moved here in 1971, relocating one block from the original bank location. Since 1971 the bank building has undergone several remodels to assure our state-of-the-art facility meets the ever-changing needs of our customers.
Keokuk County State
Bank is proud of its 120 plus year tradition of service to
customers in a competitive marketplace. KCSB offers a wide
array of personal, agricultural and commercial products including
checking and savings accounts, interest bearing NOW accounts,
safe deposit boxes, money orders, travelers checks, wire transfer
of funds, credit cards, debit cards, savings bonds, gift cards
and access to automated teller machines. Loan products offered
by KCSB include fixed and variable rate, secured and unsecured
personal and business loans, commercial, residential and agricultural
real estate loans. KCSB's secondary market home mortgage loan
program is among the most competitive in the state.
KCSB also offers On Line Banking and Bill Payment services.
Keokuk County State Bank is headed by President Thomas A. Bates, a bank officer since 1975. He leads a team of dedicated, customer-oriented staff members and a five member Board of Directors. Current Directors in addition to President Bates are Chairman Terence P. Greenley, Richard V. de Regnier, Frances S. Fleck and Patrick J. Marget.
KCSB provides a full range of services to customers on weekdays and also provides drive-up services available until noon on Saturdays. KCSB also operates a 24-hour drive-up ATM at the corner of Highways 149 and 92 in Sigourney. |
